TEABAG is a very small charity, based in London and Cambridge. It is registered with the UK Charity Commission (No.1126462). It is entirely run by volunteers, who pay for their own travel to Ghana. All the money we are given goes to support people in Ghana as all the administrative costs are given for free by our trustees. Our fund-raising has largely been through personal contact between Trustees and new sponsors for school pupils or for the students at the Vocational Centre. We have been fortunate to attract significant donations from some primary schools and also major donations from funds to enable us to carry out building projects at the College. The Tooting Branch of Rotary International have been generous on many occasions with specific projects that we have undertaken.
“We are very happy to have supported the Teabag charity for the last 10 years. Our children love hearing about how the charity is supporting our friends in Ghana. Well done, Teabag - and keep up the good work!”Sarah Massheder, Headteacher, Cross in Hand C.E. Primary School, Heathfield, E. Sussex“The Salvation Army Upper Norwood Corps Craft Club and Church Fellowship are proud to support the work of Teabag.” Captain Michael J Kinnear, Commanding Officer, Upper Norwood Corps
